Special guests have long been the perfect compliment to the local racing scene and the 2022 schedule at Peterborough Speedway is no exception. Saturday, July 16^th, the Ontario Sportsman Series will pay its annual visit to the venue known as Canada’s Toughest 3^rd Mile Oval for the AF 100.

To this point in the schedule, 16 different teams have scored points in at least one event on this year’s OSS point chase, with Michael Hryniuk Jr. holding an advantage of approximately 50 points over runner-up Kevin Trevellin. Chad McGlynn, Brendan Patrick and Sean Mangin hold-down the 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th place positions in the standings. Hryniuk Jr., Todd Shepherd and Tim Tolton have all claimed AF International/One Stop Auto Centre Ontario Sportsman Series main event wins. Along with the Ontario Sportsman Series, the Saturday, July 16^th event at Peterborough Speedway will also include the home track Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock, Jiffy Lube Mini Stock, KOD Disposal Super Stock and Late Model divisions, with Kid’s Barrel Races as the intermission feature. Pit gates will open at 2:30, with the spectator grandstands unlocked at 5:00 and the night’s first Great Canadian RV green flag at 6:00.

As always, fans can purchase advance passes for this show and any of the remaining dates on the 2022 schedule by accessing the ‘buy tickets’ option on the track website. Grandstand admission tickets can also be picked-up from the trackside ticket booth on raceday.

Still to come before the end of the month, fans will see the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models Saturday, July 23^rd and the OSCAAR Modifieds and Hot Rod tours Saturday, July 30^th. The Ontario Modifieds Racing Series and Outlaw Midget divisions will also make appearances this month. Selected Peterborough Speedway weekly classes – including the new Kingsway Auto Centre Junior Late Models – are part of every Saturday night show.
