2008 POINTS BATTLE KICKS OFF

THIS SATURDAY MAY 3, 2008 WE WILL KICK OFF OUR 2008 CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLE, ON THE SCHEDULE ARE THE FOUR FUNS, PETERBOROUGH HYUNDIA MINI STOCKS, LATE MODELS AND LEGENDS, PIT GATES WILL OPEN AT 3 PM WITH THE GRANDSTANDS OPENING AT 5PM AND RACING GETTING UNDERWAY AT 6PM. GENERAL ADMISSION IS $10 AND KIDS 8 TO 12 ARE $5, UNDER 8 ARE FREE. SEE YOU AT THE RACES.

Grand Opening !!

What an opening night ! A full grandstand of stock car fans, some great heat racings and even better features. Throw in a some fan appreciation at the intermission and it was the perfect way to kick start the 2008 season at Peterborough Speedway. In fact it wasn’t just opening night it was the 41st opening night at what is considered Canada’s toughest 1/3 banked oval.

OSCAAR SUPER LATE MODELS SET TO TAME CANADA'S TOUGHEST 1/3 MILE
|

The OSCAAR Outlaw Super Late Models are set to try and tame Canada's 1/3 mile oval on three occasions in 2008. Oscaar firsts stop at Peterborough will be Saturday August 2 for a 75 lap event, The Second event will be Labour day weekend Saturday August 30th. And to finish the season OSCAAR will once again crown its champion at the Super Bowl of stock car racing the 16th Annual Autumn Colours Classic. DRIVERS PUMPED FOR 2008

On Sunday December 2, 2007 Peterborough Speedway held its annual drivers meeting. Despite the weather a great group of drivers came out and we saw new registrations in all divisions. One of the highlights of the meeting was the introduction of a new class “Renegade Trucks”.
