Pure Country 105 Mid-Season Bash Takes the Peterborough Speedway Spotlight

This year’s schedule at Canada’s Toughest 3rd Mile Oval was designed for 16 consecutive Saturday nights of action. As of Saturday, July 9th, the track has reached the unofficial halfway mark of the 2022 regular season line-up with the Pure Country 105 Mid-Season Bash.

“Mother Nature wasn’t our friend early on but things have been looking really good for the past few weeks,” said Peterborough Speedway track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse. “We’re definitely headed in the right direction and keeping a positive attitude where the balance of our season is concerned is our focus for the rest of the year.”

The Saturday, July 9th show will feature the home track Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck, KOD Disposal Super Stock and Late Model divisions, plus the Trailers Plus Canadian Legend Car Series and the return of the Junior Late Models, with King of the Hill as the intermission feature. Pit gates open at 2:30, with the spectator grandstands unlocked at 5:00 and the first green flag at 6:00.

In the weeks to come, Peterborough Speedway will also play host to the Ontario Sportsman Series for a 100 lap ‘A’ main Saturday, July 16th. Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models will have a 50 lapper on the agenda for their visit Saturday, July 23rd. OSCAAR’s Modified and Hot Rod divisions will be part of the Saturday, July 30th line-up. All dates mentioned will also include a variety of home track classes.

As always, fans can take advantage of the convenient ‘buy tickets’ online option through the track website or purchase seats using the walk-up trackside (cash only) booth on raceday.

“With the schedule we’ve been able to put together, July promises to be an exciting month of action at Peterborough Speedway,” said J.P. Josiasse. “The combination of some popular special guest classes and our fan favourite weekly divisions will give everyone something to look forward to.”
