Peterborough Speedway’s 2023 Season Waits in the Staging Area

As they have every year since 1967, members of the promotional team at Peterborough Speedway are getting ready to launch another exciting line-up of local racing at Canada’s Toughest 3rd Mile Oval.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 20th as Pure Country 105 presents the 2023 season opener, with free spectator grandstand admission. This year’s lid-lifter features the best of the home track’s weekly divisions, with the Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock, newly branded Switch Tire Mini Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck, Jiffy Lube Super Stock and KOD Disposal Late Model runners, plus the Trailers Plus Canadian Legend Car Series. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says it’s a great way to kick-off the 57th consecutive season of action at the popular Central Ontario venue.

“We’ve put together a regular season run of 16-straight Saturday nights and will wrap-up the year with the 30th annual edition of the season ending Autumn Colours Classic,” said J.P. Josiasse. “Our Double Toonie/Fan Appreciation Nights – presented by Pepsi – return for this year’s schedule. Spectator grandstand admission passes – for a great night of racing and driver autograph session at intermission – will be just $4.00 June 10th, July 1st and August 12th.”

As in previous years, Peterborough Speedway racers will defend the home turf in extra distance invitational events. The Switch Tire Mini Stock field is slated for a 50 lapper Saturday, May 27th, while the Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stockers will run the same distance in a feature tilt Saturday, July 8th. The headliner of the 2023 regular season’s special events will be a 100-lap APC Pro Late Model/50-lap Qwick Wick Firestarter Super Stock double-dip, presented by KOD Disposal Saturday, June 17th.

“It’ll be a great season and everyone is counting the days to the first green flag of the year,” J.P. Josiasse said. “Our complete schedule is posted now at www.peterboroughspeedway.com/schedule/ and available through our social media platforms shorty. We’ll also have updates on our marketing partners and track sponsorship packages available soon.”
