Peterborough Speedway Announces Additional Dates for its 2021 Schedule

The best racing news of the year keeps getting better. Canada’s Toughest 3rd Mile has added even more dates and the long awaited 2021 season at Peterborough Speedway continues to grow.

Saturday, July 24th’s show will feature the Jiffy Lube Mini Stock, KOD Disposal Super Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck, Trailers Plus Ontario Legend and hometown Late Model divisions. The Saturday, July 31st line-up includes Bone Stock, Mini Stock and Super Stock action, with the Outlaw Midgets and a 40-lap ‘A’ main for the OSCAAR Modifieds. Racing will start each night at 6:00.

A limited number of reserved seats for the Saturday, July 17th Summer Kick-Off – presented by Lucas Oil Products – with the Bone Stock, Mini Stock, Late Model and Ontario Modifieds Racing Series classes are also available, while quantities last.

To purchase tickets or see available seats, visit the reservation platform www.eventsprout.com/events/peterborough-speedway-2000-ltd or use the link from the track website to purchase advance tickets. Fans wanting to book tickets who do not have access to the online ordering system can call the speedway office at 705.743.5880 for assistance. Available seats in each grandstand section and prices are shown on the site. For all shows, children under 8 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

Because of current provincial restrictions, fans will be required to remain in their assigned grandstand section for the evening, with the exception of going to concession stands or restrooms. Face mask use and social distancing protocol will be mandated any time you are not in your assigned seat. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says officials are expecting to release even more shows in the weeks to come.

“We’ll be racing every weekend until Labour Day but the exact schedule line-up needs to be confirmed,” said Josiasse. “As of Friday, July 16th we will be operating under the 3rd and final stage of the provincial reopening strategy. Even with that in mind, we still encourage everyone to take advantage of the available vaccination clinics and opportunities across the region.”

For the latest news and information on the COVID-19 schedule, fans are reminded to check www.peterboroughspeedway.com or see the track’s Facebook and Twitter social media platforms. Government policies and protocol change often and quickly. Staff will do its best to provide the most up to date information available.
