IMG_2590The final Saturday night of the month is on the horizon and Canada’s Toughest 3rd of a Mile Paved Oval is in the mood for a party.

Fans are in for an exciting time at the tight, tricky bullring on Mount Pleasant Road, west of the Liftlock City Saturday, July 25th as Country 105 presents the Mid-Summer Bash. There’ll be plenty of action on the track as Renegade Truck, Paul Davis Systems Thunder Car, Earl Ireland Auto Sales Late Model and Ontario Modifieds Racing Series teams come to play, with a 100 lap endurance event to close out the night.

Coming into the next event on the calendar, the Thunder Car division has seen the most track time of Peterborough Speedway’s 5 regular classes. Last season’s track champion Anthony DiBello is leading the way with 4 main event wins, while his title rival from a season ago Howie Crowe and invader Dan Archibald own one win a piece. With strong car counts and some talented pilots thrilling solid crowds since opening night, the Late Model field has made a handful of appearances, with feature race wins going to 2014 high point runner Ryan Kimball, Tyler Betts, Al Shepstone, Mark Gordon and Travis Hallyburton. Seeing 3 starts and some tough battles from start to finish, defending champ Jack Dallin, Tim Burke and newcomer Chris Burrage claiming checkered flags in the Renegade Truck pack.

At the Country 105 Mid-Summer Bash – Saturday, July 25th – pit gates will open at 3:00, with the spectator grandstands unlocked at 5:00 and the first green flag at 6:00.
