Can Am TQ Midget Racing Joins the Show at Peterborough Speedway

Central Ontario’s favourite place to race roars back to life Saturday, June 22nd as the popular Can Am TQ Midget Series rolls into Peterborough Speedway for its annual appearance. Also on the program will be the home track Jiffy Lube Mini Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck and Late Model divisions, along with the Ontario Modifieds Racing Series.

Through its more than 50 years of existence, many of racing’s marquee names – including Supermodified stars Bentley Warren and Joe Gosek, NASCAR’s Ken Schrader, World of Outlaws stand-out Dave Blaney and USAC legend Jack Hewitt – have all raced with the popular tour. While the club boasts overall membership numbers in the triple digits, its today’s driver roster that grabs the headlines. Current point leader Darren Dryden, Brandon Zavarella and Steven Murdock are just 3 of the names to watch in this year’s action.

Also on the show for Saturday, June 22nd at Peterborough Speedway will be the held-over Jiffy Lube Mini Stock feature from Saturday, June 1st. Pit gates open at 2:30, with the spectator grandstands unlocked at 5:00. The night’s first green flag is set for 6:00.

Rolling the schedule ahead to Saturday, June 29th finds the Summer Kick-Off, presented by Lucas Oil Products with Bone Stock, Mini Stock, Super Stock and Late Model action; plus a National Qualifier for the Trailers Plus Ontario Legends.
