Autumn Colours Classic is Next for Super Stock Rookie Jeremy Dobb

Local racers never stop learning. There is figuring out how to adjust to changing track conditions, tire pressures, handling issues and a variety of other adjustments. After 6 years in the sport, Jeremy Dobb decided the 2021 season was the perfect time to back to school.

The 41-year-old from Tweed, Ontario honed his racing skills in the Thunder Stock division at Brighton Speedway, but this year decided to make the jump to the asphalt side of things in the Super Stock ranks at Peterborough Speedway. To say his first year of blacktop racing was a success would be an understatement. The father of 2 – who works as a delivery driver with ATS Healthcare – finished 9th in points and filled his notebook with some valuable set-up information.

“It was a great year,” Jeremy Dobb said of his first season of action at the venue known as Canada’s Toughest 3rd Mile Oval. “From the first moment we rolled through the pit gate, J.P. and the staff at Peterborough Speedway welcomed our team with open arms and did everything they could to make us feel at home. All the positive support I’ve received from family, friends and fans made 2021 – even with its ups and downs – one of my most enjoyable seasons of racing yet.”

Dobb says he’s looking forward to making his debut at this year’s Autumn Colours Classic and is hoping to have strong run in his John Devries Log & Timber Homes, DVW Welding & Fabrication, Worry Free Lawn Care & Property Maintenance, Tweed Dental, Chase Pools, Ruttle Brothers Mennonite Furniture, Rapid Rad, Strawberry Farms, Force Recon Canada No. 57 machine. The driver and his wife Jessica Hughson, along with Ethan, William & Jason Dobb, his parents, fellow racer John Baker Jr. and Cheryl Rydzik-Webster will make sure the car is ready for the first green flag.
