Canada’s Toughest 3rd of a Mile Paved Oval is Central Ontario’s site of motorsports excitement and Summer Toonie Nights, presented by Pepsi – with $2.00 spectator grandstand admission – return to Peterborough Speedway Saturday, July 7th. The highlight will be a 50 lap main event for the Super Stock teams, with the hometown Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock, Jiffy Lube Mini Stock and Late Model divisions; along with the Outlaw Midgets also on the schedule.

“We’re just over a month into the 2018 regular season and we’ve had some incredible action in every class,” said track owner/promoter J.P. Josiasse. “Its all about giving the fans what they want and we can’t wait to roll open the gates for another of our very popular Summer Toonie/Fan Appreciation Nights this weekend.”

For the Saturday, July 7th show, pit gates will open at 1:30, with the spectator grandstands unlocked at 4:00 and the night’s racing getting underway with the Great Canadian RV green flag at 5:00.

Looking ahead on the schedule to Saturday, July 14th sees the home track Bone Stock, Mini Stock and Late Model classes back in action; along with the much anticipated finale of the Canadian Legends Asphalt Nationals, with a 35 lap main event for the Trailers Plus Ontario Legends Series that is expected to draw teams from across the province and special guests from both sides of the border.

“To have an event of this magnitude on our schedule is quite a feather in the cap for Peterborough Speedway,” Josiasse said. “Our fans deserve to see this type of show and having it here will help open the door to booking similar events in the future. We have the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup and Hoosier Racing Tire Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model dates just around the corner.”
