Peterborough Speedway Season Preview Returns to Lindsay Square

Race fans from across Central Ontario are looking forward to the 2023 schedule launch at Peterborough Speedway. The Pure Country 105 Season Opener – featuring free spectator grandstand admission – is slated for Saturday, May 20th at Canada’s Toughest 3rd Mile Oval.

For the first time since the 2019 season, Lindsay Square will once again host cars from the popular venue on Mount Pleasant Road. Track officials will also be on hand to speak with fans and provide copies of this year’s event schedule. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says this is a great opportunity to see what’s new for the exciting line-up of action.

“Just like our racers, track staff has been working hard to make sure everything is ready to roll for the opening night,” said J.P. Josiasse. “Our regular season is made-up of 16 consecutive Saturday nights, with the schedule wrapping-up with the 30th anniversary edition of the Autumn Colours Classic.”

Cars will be on display during regular Lindsay Square hours from Sunday, April 30th to Sunday, May 7th. Lindsay Square is located at 401 Kent Street West. For more information, see www.lindsaysqaure.ca.

Following pre-season practice sessions scheduled for Thursday, May 11th, Saturday, May 13th and Thursday, May 18th, Peterborough Speedway’s 57th season of racing gets underway Saturday, May 20th.
