toonie nightYour search for affordable family fun just got a little easier.  Already great value for your entertainment dollar, Peterborough Speedway will host the year’s first Toonie Admission/Fan Appreciation Night – presented by Pepsi – Saturday, June 1st.  Adult grandstand admission for a full night of racing action on Canada’s Toughest 1/3rd Mile Oval will be just $ 2.00, with kids 8 and under free.  Track owner/promoter J.P. Josiasse says the show is a great way to reward the speedway’s loyal supporters.

“We have a very strong fan base every Saturday night and we’re happy to be able to say thanks,” said Josiasse.  “It’s early in the season, but we’ve had championship calibre performances in all our regular classes since the first green flag.  After a cold night last week, if the weather forecast is true, it should be a scorcher on and off the track.”

Fans will enjoy action in the Battlefield Equipment Four Fun, Peterborough Hyundai Mini Stock, Paul Davis Systems Thunder Car, Vanguard Self Storage Late Model and Ontario Legend divisions.  There will also be a driver autograph session and kid’s bike races at the intermission.  It promises to be an exciting night all the way around.

“Peterborough Speedway is working hard to become Central Ontario’s premier entertainment destination,” said Josiasse.  “Our fan friendly focus and commitment to giving spectators a variety of different racing divisions throughout the season is steering our team in the right direction.”

The year’s first Toonie Admission/Fan Appreciation Night – presented by Pepsi – Saturday, June 1st will see the pit gates open at 3:00, with grandstand access at 5:00. Racing starts at 6:00.

Short track Saturday Night:  A Chase for the Colours Pole Qualifying Event, presented by Lucas Oil Products – with 75 lap Late Model, 25 lap Four Fun, 30 lap Mini Stock and 40 lap Thunder Car features – is on the agenda for a 2:30 green flag Sunday, June 30th.  The winner of each main event will earn the pole position for their respective feature race during the 21st Annual Autumn Colours Classic, October 11th to 13th.

Peterborough Speedway’s 2013 season is presented in part by Paul Davis Systems, Reinhart Trailers, Dart Heating and Cooling, Pennzoil, Pepsi, Country 105, Sound Off Signal and Peterborough Automotive.  Fans can find full schedule details anytime by visiting www.peterboroughspeedway.com and follow Canada’s Toughest 1/3rd Mile Oval on Facebook or Twitter.
