Peterborough Speedway Bone Stockers Set for This Weekend’s 50 Lap Feature

They’ve been thinking about since the schedule was first announced and the wait for their time in the spotlight is almost over. Saturday, June 15th, the Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock teams will get their chance to run a 50 lap main event at Peterborough Speedway. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says every driver in the field is pumped about tackling a feature race that’s more than twice as long as the regular distance.

“We want our home track teams to know how it feels to be the stars of the show,” said Josiasse. “Every racer who comes through the pit gates on a Saturday night has family, friends and fans who want to see them strut their stuff. They all deserve the chance to shine and put their efforts into the forefront for all to see.”

Also on the agenda for the next show at the tight, tricky bullring on Mount Pleasant Road will be a 30 lap KOD Disposal Super Stock qualifier, with a guaranteed starting position for the 2nd annual Canadian Short Track Nationals – August 31st and September 1st – at Jukasa Motor Speedway up for grabs. Fans will also get a taste of the Jiffy Lube Mini Stocks, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Trucks and the Trailers Plus Ontario Legends. Rained-out Renegade Truck and Ontario Legend feature races from Saturday, June 1st will be made-up as part of the event. Pit gates will open at 2:30, with the spectator grandstands unlocked at 5:00 and the night’s first green flag at 6:00.

Looking ahead to the Saturday, June 22nd schedule at Canada’s Toughest 3rd of a Mile Paved Oval as the home track Jiffy Lube Mini Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck and Late Model divisions will be joined by the Can Am TQ Midgets and the Ontario Modifieds Racing Series. The Mini Stock teams will run a pair of main events, as the final of the rained-out features from Saturday, June 1st is made-up. Look to the schedule drop-down menu of the track web-site for complete details.
