Peterborough Speedway Adds Junior Late Models to the Autumn Colours Classic Line-Up
From their very first laps of the year, the Kingsway Auto Centre Junior Late Model division at Peterborough Speedway made fans fall in love with this exciting new class of action. Now, track officials are proud to announce these thrilling young racers will be included in the 29th edition of the Lucas Oil Products Autumn Colours Classic.
“Based on the fan reaction and the sheer numbers the Junior Late Model teams bring to the track made adding them to our biggest show of the year an easy call,” track owner/promoter J.P. Josiasse explained. “They’re always excited about being on the track and we’re happy to give them the opportunity to join our Autumn Colours Classic family.”
A baker’s dozen of Junior Late Model runners scored points during the group’s inaugural Peterborough Speedway season, with the No. 86K of Kaiden Beatty the best of the bunch by a 29-point margin over Lyla Sikma. Chase Stevenson, Lucas Finnegan and Keegan Moat completed the top 5 in the running order. Josiasse said that while the class will be part of the afternoon’s rotating practice sessions Friday, October 7th, their qualifying heats and feature event will be run during the Saturday portion of the weekend.
“With other tracks already finishing their 2022 schedule, I think we’ll see some solid Junior Late Model numbers on hand for their first run at Autumn Colours,” J.P. Josiasse said. “The class has really caught on with our weekly fans and everyone is excited to see this group talented youngsters perform on such a prestigious stage.”

First time visitors are reminded that there is a QR code for a waiver that must be completed for anyone entering the pit area. With the exception of the 4th turn grandstand, Peterborough Speedway is a smoke-free facility. Cannabis use – in any form – is prohibited on speedway property.
