Ontario Legends Series Makes a Saturday Night Date at Peterborough Speedway

Since Saturday, June 29th – their most recent start at the venue known as Canada’s Toughest 3rd of a Mile Paved Oval – the Trailers Plus Ontario Legends Series has criss-crossed the province. The first stop on the road trip was Saturday, July 6th – where Nicholas Ledson took the win, over Kenny McNicol Jr., Rob MacDonnell, Dawson Drimmie and Cole McFadden – at Grand Bend Speedway. The next day, the site was the same as Gregory Rudzik, Ledson, Drimmie, McNicol Jr. and Joe Adams made-up the top 5.

Saturday, July 13th the tour enjoyed a day at The Beach. Kevin Foisy, Ledson, Drimmie (with a pair), McNicol Jr. and Robin Jongen took the qualifying event wins. Rudzik collected another feature race victory; this time over Parker Traves, Foisy, Adams and McNicol Jr. Series spokesperson Jeff Drimmie says everyone associated with the tour is excited to see some new faces in the starting line-up.

“Even with a show that includes double feature events this weekend at Peterborough Speedway and a pair of National Qualifiers – August 2nd and 3rd – at Sauble, many teams have already started to think about the 2019 edition of the Canadian Legend Car Asphalt Nationals, August 16th to 18th at Sunset,” Drimmie said. “It’s the biggest event on our calendar, paying $4000 to the overall champion. Each division – Pro, Semi-Pro and Masters – will also receive a handsome payout for the top 3 positions.”
