Already a long-term supporter of weekly action at Canada’s Toughest 3^rd Mile Oval, the team at KOD Disposal has increased its involvement at the popular Central Ontario motorsports facility.

After several years of sponsoring the track’s Super Stock division, the KOD brand will continue to support Peterborough Speedway as title backer of the weekly Late Model class when the 2023 schedule gets underway Saturday, May 20^th.  The company will also serve as the presenting sponsor for the APC Pro Late Model and Qwick Wick Firestarter Super Stock event Saturday, June 17^th. Spokesperson Jeff Drimmie says the businesses under his corporate umbrella have benefitted greatly from an involvement with the track.

“With our shops located almost next door to the venue, being a Peterborough Speedway sponsor makes good corporate sense and helps build awareness for our different brands,” Jeff Drimmie explained. “J.P. Josiasse and his team are committed to the Kawartha community and through the years, they have been strong supporters of local businesses and services.”

In addition to the KOD sponsorship, Drimmie has also been a competitor and Super Stock and Open Wheeled Modified car owner at the track. His son Dawson picked-up his first career Legend Car feature win during the 2022 season. Heading into the 2023 schedule, Dawson Drimmie and his brother Caleb will once again run with the Canadian Legend Car Series, with Dawson also wheeling a freshly built Super Stock ride.

Peterborough Speedway’s 2023 regular season schedule will showcase 16 consecutive Saturday nights of racing and will conclude with the 30^th annual running of the Autumn Colours Classic. Local divisions will share the spotlight with a variety of touring series throughout the year. Even with this year’s kick-off still a few months away, track officials and the promotional staff are pulling out all the stops to make this a memorable season at Canada’s Toughest 3^rd Mile Oval.
