Jeremy Kelly Hunts for Back-to-Back Mini Stock Track Championships

Earlier in his hometown racing career, Jeremy Kelly earned the Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock track championship at Peterborough Speedway. Winning the honour in 2016 felt so good, he did it again a year later. After clinching the Jiffy Lube Mini Stock title in 2021, he also heads into this weekend’s Championship Clash holding-down the top spot in the standings.

“We had a strong season and I think it would be great to put together a run that would pay-off with another championship,” Jeremy Kelly explained. “I’m fortunate to have a solid group of family and friends who support what we do and a wonderful place to race and have some fun every weekend.”

Jeremy Kelly – who works as a filmmaker – says he appreciates what he calls the ‘Mom n’ Pop’ sponsors in the community – including Kirk Norris of Desjardins Insurance, Ranger Construction, Impact Communications, Tyler Junkin & TMC Motorsports, Stay Classy Racing, Connelly’s Minute Muffler, Parnell Motorsports, Poked by Tony & Mike’s Tattoo – that back his No. 80 machine and help him live out his boyhood racing dream.

2022 track titles in all weekly classes will be decided – Saturday, September 3rd – during the Championship Clash. The regular season finale will also include Top 10 Shootouts for all divisions. Pit gates open at 12:30, with the spectator grandstands unlocked at 3:00 and racing at 5:00. Passes are available online or as a cash only transaction from the walk-up ticket booth on raceday.

Full event details can be found at www.peterboroughspeedway.com or the track Facebook, Twitter and Instagram social media profiles.
