DRIVERS HONOURED - 2009 BANQUET
|
On Saturday November 7, 2009 Racers, Staff, Friends and Family got together at the Ranch Resort to Celebrate the accomplishments over the 2009 season and to honour the 2009 points champions.
The meal catered by the Old Smoke House was once again to die for. After the meal owner/promoter Jean Paul Josiasse addressed a packed house before the awards presentation started. Thanking everyone for the season and touching one of the main hurdles of the past summer stating

The sun was shinning, the breeze was warm and everybody was relaxed . . . . until the sun went down over the turn 4 wall. You know the racing season in Canada is nearing the end on the first night at the track when the sun goes down and the blankets, parkas and gloves come out. Tonight was that night. Could it really be that expensive to put a dome over the track?

Full Moon Weirdness

Some people say its only superstition that people act differently when there is a full moon and I tend to think most drivers change the moment they put a helmet on. It may just be the competitiveness of being a racecar driver. Whatever the reason, Saturday night racing at Peterborough had lots of action.
Although we had OSCAAR visiting again, I’ll stick with our own series and let them handle their own PR.
