1010161_10152938150570254_100449851_nThe Battlefield 4Fun’s saw a battle all night long with the 79 Of Ryan Olsterholt taking both of his qualifying heats and Griffin Powell (13) win his 2 heats. But at the end of the night the battle came down to the last lap between these 2 seasoned drivers with Ryan Olsterholt making yet another visit to the Dart Heating and A/C Victory lane.

Paul Davis Systems Thunder cars stormed back to the track with a vengence with Matt Spence (53) and Don Beatty back behind the wheel of the #40 each winning a heat. The tempers flared for the feature race and in the end it was Matt Spence taking a checkerd flag.

A Full car count of the Peterborough Hyundai Mini Stocks took to the track with #19 Ember Junkin, #89 Ryan Babin, #99 Chris Mulders and #54 Danny Benedict each winning a heat. With 3 laps to go it looked like the #79 of Ryan Olsterholt was going to take the 2nd Feature win of the night, until a collision in turn 2 sent him hard into the wall in the back stretch bringing out a red flag. Then Ember Junkin who was running a close 2nd held off the 99 of Mulders and the 89 of Babin to take her first Ministock victory of her career parking a little girl power in the Dart Heating and A/C Victory Lane.

The Parry Springs Renegade Trucks had Bill O’Hara (6) take both heats but Stephen Bierworth made a surprise comeback and took the Checkered Flag.

The big draw of the night was the excitement that only open wheel racing can bring witht he Lucas Oil CanAm Midgets series. Heat 1 had last years series champion #74 Rob Kneely in the money, and the 2nd Heat won by Darren McLennan (#48). The B-main event had Adam Racine (97) race his way into the big show.  The end of the night was a 25 lap lightening fast feature race with #3 Todd Cresswell in 3rd, Barry Dunn (#24) in 2nd, and the Dart Heating and A/C Victory Lane was filled with the #40 of Mack DeMann.

Next week is the 1st ever “Swap Meet” at Peterborough Speedway along with a 100 Lap Enduro Race at Canada’s Toughest 1/3rd Mile Oval.
