Pole Qualifying

TOWNSHIP RULES – MANDATE A MIN OF 2 ½ LBS FIRE EXTINGUISHER
& ALL CARS MUST RUN SOME TYPE OF MUFFLER
NO 4-WHEELERS, GOLF CARTS, POCKET BIKES ECT.
RULES:
LATE MODELS 75 LAPS
* Home Track rules and weight penalties and percentages apply
* Exceptions – Base weight 2,950 lbs for 10 – 1 Built
2,900 lbs for 9.5 -1 Built
2,850 lbs for Crate
* 50 lbs penalty for headers on non crate engines
* 50 lbs fuel allowance after feature only
* Tires 8” Hoosier 980 slick only.
THUNDERS 40 LAPS
* Home Track rules apply
* Tires Towel City retreads or hoosier 780
* Home Track weight penalties & Breaks apply
MINI STOCKS 30 LAPS
* Home track rules apply – drivers may opt for home track or Ptbo Speedway weight rule.
* Additional weight penalties may be imposed to equalize the field
* Tires – No racing tires, must be DOT approved and cannot have a tread wear rating of less than 200, H rating permitted. Falcon – Azena tire is allowed.1/8” tread depth rule will be enforced.
FOUR FUNS 30 LAPS
* Home track rules apply – drivers may opt for home track or Ptbo Speedway weight rule.
* Additional weight penalties may be imposed to equalize the field
* Minimum 60 series tires speed rated S or T. No performance rated, snow, directional or racing tires. must be DOT approved and cannot have a tread wear rating of less than 200, A 1/8” tread depth rule will be enforced.
TIRES AND FUEL AVAILABLE AT THE TRACK
RACE PROCEDURES:
Qualifying – 2 heat format, drivers will draw for starting position in their first heat, second heat line up is the inversion of the first heat finish. Points will be awarded for each position, 20 for first then down by one point.
Feature – Cars will be lined up in from highest to lowest points, The Pole sitter will roll a pair of dice for the invert. If he rolls “snake eyes” there will be no invert.
Race Length – Posted Laps are green Flag Laps, Infield pits will be utilized,
AUTUMN COLOURS POLE QUALIFYING;
For Each Class Running at the Chase, the first and second place feature finishers, will earn the front row positions for the Autumn Colours in their respective divisions. The winner will receive the pole position with second place earning outside pole. Third and Fourth Place finishers will earn 13th and 14th provisional starting positions for the main even in their division at the Autumn Colours, They can through qualifying at the Colours improve on those spots. If a driver does not attend the Colours their position will be awarded to the next place finisher from the Chase.
