DOUBLE FEATURES FOR TQ'S Saturday night proved to be another winning night both for the racers and fans alike. With beautiful weather and light breeze it made for a perfect night of racing. Along with the regular racers, we were again treated to a visit by the TQ Midget’s, with not one but two feature events. After the huge crash in the feature a few weeks previous prevented the feature from being run, we were able to open the evening with a full feature race. As the cars strung out around the track, and position races happening everyplace the leader James Gray was on rails in the lead position. At the checkered Grays stellar performance held the top spot with Darren McLennan and Tyler Mackereth taking second and third. After a full night of competitive racing and not allot of yellow flags the feature races again found allot of familiar faces in the winners circles. In the Four-Fun series it was Terry Hubbert in the #31 car again grabbing the top spot over Trevor Logan and Wayne Dewdney. In the Mini Stocks Justin Bierworth charged his way to top spot over Neil Hannah and Mike Nelson. The late models again were the class of the field for excitement. With allot of hard charging and everybody wanting the front spot the pressure is always there to perform. In the final laps Amanda Connolly was all over Don Hart trying every thing to around but to no avail. At the checkered Hart again grabbed the first spot withy Connolly and Randy Bull in hot pursuit. In the second TQ Midget feature James Gray was working again take the top spot but this time around Daniel Bois was not going to give up the position and Gray had to settle with 2nd, a impressive run none the less, with Harvey Walsh grabbing the third spot. With this weekend being a double header with a fun filled evening of racing, along with Fan Appreciation & Kids Pit Stop Races on Saturday night and the second of the section of Cathcart Trucking Enduro Series on Sunday it should be a great weekend of racing. The winter is over folks so grab the kids and come out and enjoy a great time of family entertainment at Peterborough Speedway.
