Rain Rain Go Away

Although it seemed water would be the only thing running at Peterborough Speedway on this Saturday night one stronger input actually won out. With the weather office saying rain, and tracks all around calling off their shows for rain, the drivers at Peterborough did get their chance to run. It’s not raining now, let’s run is what came out of the drivers meeting, and run they did.
For a couple of drivers the decision to run was a good thing. Terry Hubbert in the 31 car running the four fun class not only won the feature, but he also won all his qualifiers, a perfect 300. Jason Juriga running in the minis stock almost pulled off the same feet winning the feature and one of his qualifiers.
The late model feature was also a great show with Don Hart and Amanda Connelly fighting for the top spot almost the entire race. With fierce competition always comes controversy. Connelly tried every move imaginable to get past Hart and even had him by a nose with one to go. When the checkered flew they were door to door but Hart had got to the line first by maybe a foot.
All in all it was a great night of racing and not a drop of rain, Peterborough Speedway finally beat Mother Nature for once.
