50 Lap Bone Stock Feature Highlights the Weekend at Peterborough Speedway

Wrapping-up the 2022 edition of the Hot August Nights Racing Series hits the ground running – Saturday, August 27th – at Canada’s Toughest 3rd Mile Oval.

When the green flag flies, the Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stocks will run a 50-lap main event, with regular distance features for the Jiffy Lube Mini Stock, KOD Super Stock, Late Model and Kingsway Auto Centre Junior Late Models. Kid’s Bike Races will be the intermission feature. Pit gates open at 2:30, with spectator grandstands unlocked at 5:00 and racing at 6:00. As always, fans can choose between purchasing passes in advance through the online link or as a cash transaction at the trackside ticket booth on raceday.

TDR – Todd Delisle Racing – has stepped up to the plate to sweeten the race purse for the Junior Late Models, offering $300 for the race winner, $175 for 2nd, $125 to the 3rd place finisher, with $100 for 4th and $75 for 5th. Positions 6th through 10th will pocket $50. Additional donations have also been received and will be distributed through the field or awarded as contingency prizes.

Dwayne Batty of Risen Graphix has offered a 2023 racecar wrap package to one lucky Junior Late Model driver. As this is the final event for the Jr. Lates this year, the feature event winner will select a random number and that young runner will hit the track in a sharp looking ride when next year’s season gets underway.

As if that weren’t enough, local NASCAR Pinty’s Series racer Bryan Cathcart of nearby Springville, Ontario will have his No. 71 car and race hauler on display behind the grandstand. Fans can talk to the driver, get an autograph and take a tour of the team’s rig, which is a former NASCAR Cup Series transporter.

It promises to be a busy and exciting night on and off the track – Saturday, August 27th – as Peterborough Speedway wraps-up another month of its 2022 regular season.
