4Fun Teams Sign-in for a 50 Lap Feature Saturday Night at Peterborough Speedway

Throughout the 50th Anniversary Season at Canada’s Toughest 3rd of a Mile Paved Oval, selected weekly classes will run 50 lap showcase feature events. Saturday, July 15th, the Battlefield Equipment Rental 4Fun teams will get their turn in the spotlight. The night’s racing will also include the Thunder Car and Organics & Glass Late Models, along with the visiting Trailers Plus Eastern Ontario Legends and Ontario Modifieds Racing Series. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says its great to have the opportunity to support the divisions that have supported the track over the years.

“We have some very strong numbers and some of our best racing on a week-to-week basis in the 4Fun main events,” Josiasse said. “Throughout the pack, these drivers fight for every position in the running order like it was the last lap. Some of our feature event finishes have come right down to the line in a side-by-side battle for the win. That’s just in a regular 20 lapper. They’ll race for twice that distance on Saturday night, so it should be a real barn-burner.”

Josiasse says this will be the 8th show of the 2017 season that has included the 4Fun division and so far, close to different teams have taken at least one green flag in the popular entry-level class. And they’re all looking for the chance to unseat reigning title-holder and current championship contender Jeremy Kelly.

For the Saturday, July 15th event, pit gates will open at 3:00, with the spectator grandstands unlocked at 5:00 and the first qualifying heat rolling from the staging area at 6:00.

Looking ahead on the schedule finds the Country 105 Mid-Season Bash on the agenda for Saturday, July 22nd. The Thunder Car division will run their 50-lap feature on a show that also includes the Jiffy Lube Mini Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck and Organics & Glass Late Model divisions, plus the second leg of back-to-back appearances by the Ontario Modifieds Racing Series.
